„View on Europe“ – a musical foray through Europe
I roam no less than twelve European countries on my musical journey through our continent. The program spans three centuries of European cultural and musical history.
In addition to famous composers such as Handel and Beethoven, lesser-known names can also be discovered, such as Carvalho from Portugal and a world premiere with Moór from Hungary. Here for once, Europe can be experienced without national and temporal boundaries. Instead, there is diversity in the unity, a kaleidoscope of the most varied of character pieces.
Andreas Mühlen – piano solo_2 2016
„Piano solo 2“ puts Beethoven´s penultimate sonata op.110 into the center. Just as this sonata looks back and at the same time – and in a visionary way – into the future, it is surrounded by works by Carvalho from the beginning of piano music and the romanticism of Schubert, Schumann and Liszt.
